Plant Manager Network

Members of this user group participate in lectures, tours and open discussion on topics such as continuous improvement methods, quality systems requirements, leadership, team building, performance metrics, supply chain management, best practices and technology. Each company will develop a peer network and sounding board to discuss new ideas, techniques and improvement opportunities.

COST: $750/company (member companies allowed two participants per session)

DURATION: 10 sessions, 2-hours each + time for plant tour, held on the third Thursday of every month

  • Lean, Six-Sigma, and other continuous improvement methods

  • Technology and mistake proofing

  • System approach to management - performance metrics

  • Implementing strategy and tactical planning

  • Policy development

  • Human resources management and legal issues

  • Supply chain management

  • Quality systems requirements

  • Leadership and team building

  • Shingo Award requirements

  • Other topics as requested by group members; periodically guest speakers will be used to cover new and critical topics

MEMBER REQUIREMENTS

  • Companies and their members shall be committed to sharing successes and areas of improvement

  • Each company must be willing to host meetings, including plant tours. The group will agree on a schedule at the beginning of the seasons with some flexibility for unexpected situations

  • Regular attendance is encouraged by at least one company representative to obtain full value of User Group participation
